Spend most of their lives at sea
Monogamous, return to the same nesting site every year
Facing extinction
Critical to support newborn survival
Warmer waters and overfishing are driving away prey
Live in burrows or between rocks on the cliffs
Both can flood or get too cold for chicks
Puffins live together, but are protective of their individual burrows
